STEAMing Ahead for a Greener Earth! ( SAGE )
Our new Project under the European Erasmus+ Programme, School Education Sector, Action 2 – Small-scale Partnerships (KA210-SCH), “STEAMing Ahead for a Greener Earth!” (SAGE) No. 2025-1-PL01-KA210-SCH-000354081, has won the call for proposals, receiving a total of 93 out of 100 possible points.
The Project has been approved for implementation in 2025 – 2027 and has received 60,000 Euro funding from the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps.
The main objective of the project is to increase students’ environmental awareness, develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) skills, promote civic engagement through practical activities and local initiatives, support respect for and promotion of common EU values such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, as well as combat all forms of discrimination.
Our school, as the Project Coordinator, will cooperate with partner schools in Istanbul, Turkey and Agramunt, Spain.
The Project includes the following Student Exchange Mobilities:
- 23–27 March 2026 in Spain,
- 25–29 May 2026 in Poland,
- 21–25 September 2026 in Turkey.

Student Exchange in Spain, 21st– 29th March 2026
The first Mobility of our ErasmusPlus Project STEMing Ahead For A Greener Earth took place in Agramunt, Spain. Our Students, along with Students from Ozel Halic Etap Okulları from Istanbul in Turkiye, were the guests of Misioneras de la Inmaculada Concepción in a village of Agramunt in Spain.
This week our Students have been exploring a Catalan region and their complex culture visiting our Partners.
During the week we had a chance to:
– play traditional Catalan sports games,
– work in teams experiencing cultural differences,
– take part in workshops on sustainability, saving, recycling, reducing and reusing,
– plant herbs, flowers and bushes in a school garden analysing the role of plants in ecosystem and climate balance,
– highlight the important role of women in science,
– ride on the rack railway Cremarella to Montserrat, a mountain monastery.
– explore a renewable energy park – Parc Eolic Rubio and learned about wind power and sustainability,
– admire Catalunya en Minatura, a minature park admiring Catalan iconic landmarks,
– visit Barcelona with its famous sights like Sagrada Familia and Park Guel.
It has been a busy week full of adventure and knowledge. We can’t wait to host our Project Partners in Poland in May.

Student Exchange in Poland, 25th– 29th May 2026
The second Mobility of our Erasmus+ Project “STEAMing Ahead For A Greener Earth” took place in Warsaw, Poland.
We were delighted to welcome students and teachers from Ozel Halic Etap Okulları in Istanbul, Türkiye, and Misioneras de la Inmaculada Concepción in Agramunt, Spain.
Since Monday, 25th May, our guests took part in a variety of educational, cultural, and environmental activities:
- Polish folk dance workshops
- Creating 3D projects and comics promoting environmental awareness
- Planting shrubs in our school garden
- the Royal Łazienki Park, the summer residence of King Stanisław August
- Designing and printing their own artworks during a silkscreen workshop at SITO Studio
- Discovering Warsaw’s most famous legends presented by our students
- Admiring the city skyline and the unique rooftop gardens of the University of Warsaw Library
- Learning about ecological solutions implemented in the Lublin Voivodeship
- Exploring efforts to protect the microclimate of the Małopolska Vistula Gorge
- Touring the historic town of Kazimierz Dolny in electric tourist vehicles (zero-emission tourism)
- Traditional handicraft workshops at a local heritage farm
- Summarizing the mobility experience and creating a journal documenting the entire week of our guests’ stay
- Certificate Award Ceremony
These days were filled with creativity, collaboration, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences.
We are looking forward to meeting our Project Partners at Ozel Halic Etap Okulları in Istanbul in September.
